The DM teleported them back to Clearlake and the hunters guild organised an evacuation of all the levels with the teleporters, first to the first level starting village/orphanage and then out of the dungeon.

Boxxo ending up like that was a surprise, he has been damaged a little before yet never anywhere near that bad. I have no worries about him being out of action for long though.

I appreciate that episode 8 did in fact not have Boxxo pop up all okay during it (besides the ending teaser). It was nice to see the gang having to manage without him for a bit. The stakes have also gotten much higher with it no longer being about conquering a dungeon but keeping humanity from being wiped out.

He certainly looked rather unscathed in the last shot we saw of him at the end.

Did the Gluttons ever make it to the fortress city, or are they still pigging out on veggies? Is all this agricultural bounty due to Kikoyu spreading Field around?

Given the preview of next week's episode Field is surely behind the agricultural bounty and is making his appearance.

Episode 9 was the return of Boxxo. It is impressive that we are still getting crazy new vending machines that did indeed exist at one point. The group coming together again was nice to see, it is also suprising that every character in the show thus far is showing up for the finale in one form or another. The final saga has a bit too much combat for the animation to handle though.

I'm having a hard time grasping the palm-sized vending machine used in...dioramas? What does it dispense? Whatever, I want one, since it's apparently functional.

Ok, maybe not functional? If he's just talking about papercraft that seems like cheating.

Japanese vending machines are reportedly not as ubiquitous as they once were, for lots of reasons. Boxxo may end up being the last of his kind one day...

Given how many different kinds of vending machines have existed at one point I am sure that a functional palm-sized one was once a thing.

Episode 10 was really fun due to Field being far more than just another character. I knew that the author of Vending Machine wrote another series with Field as the mc and due to that the episode is a crossover. It works because Field has his own team of allies and even a harem. It is also clear that he experienced his own adventures and is now teaming up with Boxxo.

Ep10 was quite the surprise as "Piece of Field" I though was all that was left of "Field" and PoF wasn't sentient, just containing the last of his "soul energy" and being used for that. Now grown legs, marching along over hill and dale and talking... Confused So I guess regenerated when PoF was "planted"...?

Did two week trip to Japan in March-April and can attest that while there are machines, they aren't "ubiquitous" and tend to be similar ala "Boss" Coffee, Pokari Sweat, the usual stuff. If anything, 7-11's/Lawsons/Family Marts are on almost every city block. The most unusual was (1) "fresh" pizza machine and "OG Vending Machines" were all collected in a lot in a residential area I didn't get to...https://soranews24.com/2022/10/05/japanese-vending-machine-mecca-around-100-rare-retro-machines-await-you-at-this-unusual-location/ Crying or Very sad

The logistics of keeping all those different machines stocked seems like a nightmare.

Here's some Boxxo would get along well with - they have a person inside. Smile

Laughing Laughing Laughing That's great, thanks for this! I'd like to go back to Japan and find this and the other "vending machine mecca", say "konnichiwa" to "oba-san"...Loved that Ep9 Boxxo transformed into a Carvana "Car Vending Machine", there is one I pass every day to/from work! As for the "diorama" vending machine, I assume it wasn't functional, just a plastic replica... Crying or Very sad No one said he was limited to fully functional devices...
