Yep, now I'm convinced Piyoko is Keiji's daughter. Or half-sister! Shocked She seems to have the magic bloodline at any rate. Either way, she's gonna be so disappointed. Which is fine if it gets her to knock off her stupid rivalry with Elizabeth.

I love the humour of this show, but what I particularly admire is its story-telling chops. There are always new developments to keep things fresh. Why does Elizabeth seem to have a human father? Piyoko's levelling up! What is the Devils agenda? I wish more anime would take lessons from this show's narrative dynamism.

How ironic is it that Keizan (Keiji and Keisuke) is voiced by the same guy who did All For One? All For One is One For All's father here. Let that sink in.

That was a lot better than I initially expected. At the start of the season I thought it would be an okay anime at best with the chicken gimmick having to carry the whole thing. Besides said gimmick we got a competent story, decent characters and some solid fighting though. The last 3 episodes in particular were rather intense with almost no pause and plenty of power ups.

I doubt that we will get a second season but I would not mind one.

Why am I not surprised that the White Demon is voiced by Koyasu Takehito? Why?? But man, that cinematic ending tho.

You know what, I'll give this show a 7/10.

It's full of tropes, but it's self-aware about its tropes. Not exactly a parody of tropes, but it feels more like it's paying homage to them. Plus, the last few episodes were pretty fire... maybe way more fire than it should be. This show really delivered even when I don't think it needs to. Plus, some of Keiji's moments were pretty hilarious.

Can't wait for the second season. Hope it doesn't make us wait too long.

Thoroughly enjoyed this show: 8/10. It deserves more and I hope it gets it.
