I was curious, but then I saw Toshiki Inoue is at the writing helm. Sad After sitting through what he's written in the tokusatsu sphere, I think I'll skip this unfortunately.

Inoue! If it’s more comedic it will be peak. If it’s allowed to be as edgy as it wants… man it’s probably cooked. Middle of the road on seriousness and it could go either way.

They are nothing if not ambitious. Yearly productions, merchandise, a lot of new staff and returning veterans, it’s clear they want this new series to be the first of many.

Generic MC with two girls who will no doubt fall in love with him. I haven't seen that before.

People talking about Inoue like he doesn't have a career in anime screenwriting spanning four decades on stuff like Mashin Hero Wataru and Gaiking 2005

The main cast is our abnormally normal protag, his girlfriend, and his younger sister. So (though I won't rule out love triangle shenanigans) it does actually start in an unusual place at least. This quote from Anime Corner's article does give me pause though...
Quote:
Veteran writer Toshiki Inoue also shared an unusual detail about DANDIVINE’s protagonist. Rather than creating a larger-than-life hero, Inoue intentionally designed Gekiha as what he described as “a completely boring guy.”
Quote:
“This time I wanted the protagonist to be nothing more than a handsome guy, so I made him thoroughly boring. Viewers will wonder, ‘Is this guy ever going to become interesting?’ But he doesn’t. That’s what makes him interesting.”

Yeah Inoue used to a lot of anime screenwriting, but seeing him these days is always a shock. He hasn’t really worked on any anime in any significant regard since writing for the Karakuri Circus adaptation in 2018. They called him for a single episode of Red Ranger Isekai, but he was definitely hit up for that because he is Toshiki Inoue, so I have to wonder if that isn’t also the case here.
