Robonimal Panda-Z: The Robonimation - anime legends set, courtesy of ebay.

...which is definitely an interesting little series. The lack of vocals threw me for a loop for several episodes, (which equals all of 10 minutes), but I really like the inserted "silent-movie" type text. Also, the opening rock song is just about perfect.

Small package today:

Anime
City Hunter Season 1 Collection 1

Bought this on impulse while surfing on amazon. It's $25 for 26 episodes, and there are good reviews of the show at ANN, so I might as well try it. I hope I end up liking it.

GET WILD AND TOUGH

Kanon vl.6 came today, bearing the Funimation logo as expected. I'm glad they didn't decide to be idiots, and mess with the cover art, and ruin the theme like I was paranoid they'd do though.

Aww, lucky. I saw that my Kanon V.6 had been shipped, but I haven't received it yet. I've been looking forward to this for a long time now.

Took advantage of the Tokyopop sale at TRSI and bought Chibi Vampire Volumes 3-10 since I loved the first two so much. (I already knew I liked the Karin anime, but I love the artwork so much the manga hasn't bored me at all reading it after the anime) and picked up Rozen Maiden Volume 4 just in case 8 volumes of Chibi Vampire weren't enough to keep me busy Smile

Yeah, it's nice to have my Kanon artbox filled and on the same theme. Thank you Funi for the final volume!

And, to complete another series that's been stalled for awhile, I just preordered Vol. 6 of When They Cry. I also preordered Vol. 4 (special edition) of Lucky Star.

Just got my new Code Geass DVD from Bandia, I'll probably hand it off to a friend for watching and she'll tell me if there are any skips or such.

Hellsing Ultimate Vol. 1 Special Edition
Ghost in the Shell: SAC Complete Collection (Anime Legends)

The Best Buy site said that the closest store near me was out of copies of the Special Edition of Hellsing. I went there anyways, and there were still copies on the shelves. Neutral Might as well not bother next time.

Well Got home from my trip and had a box waiting for me.
    Anime
  • Ghost Hunt Part One (I guess I should get used to the new way anime is being demanded to be packaged, which is to say smashed onto as few as discs as possible inside flimsy packaging. But at least the kiddies are happy.)
  • Slayers Complete Movies and OVA collection.

Edit: One thing that doesn't add up, is on the Slayers box it says the time should be a 800 minutes. Which is a hell of a lot for three discs. Yet when I add them all up individually they shouldn't be more than 430 minutes long. So I am thinking ADV just screwed up and put the wrong length on the package. Unless that is supposed to include extras, which is a lot, and I hope they are not on there because that will just cut into the visual quality. I guess I should feel confident that it is just an error, because ADV authoring usually among the best of the companies.

Picked up a manga today: Shugo Chara 3, I'm really starting to enjoy the series. Also while at the bookstore and shuffling in my purse for a coupon, I realized I haven't updated the bookstore coupon thread since I got out of school. It kind of shocked me to remember something I had forgotten for so long.

Expect that up and rolling within the next week. Well, at least hopefully if I don't have to work crazy hours.

Oh right, I also got a package: Death Note liveaction movie and My-Hime 7.

I also took back Negima, (as in turned in to FYE for $5- which is about half of what I paid) because even though i loved the series to death the ova is boring. I wanted him to do more magic.
