Nice preview, really looks interesting.
I'd love to know who's singing that awesome background song, btw.

Looking good. I really hope this turns out to be an A-grade show. It's been awhile since there's been a really strong series to come out of this genre that didn't come from an established franchise.

Nice to finally see a trailer, I have kept my eye on this project since last year. Some of the animation looks a bit sketchy but other than that I really dig Mamoru Nagano's design and hopefully it will deliver an equally captivating story as Five Star Stories.

Hopefully this will go better than L-Gaim but with the levels of production of Five Star.

Was this the thing in Newtype ages ago with the funky springy skeletal mecha?

Nice preview. I'm not crazy about some of the costuming, but the project looks like it has potential.

It is the one I was thinking of:

I have remembered this from time to time as the designs were so distinctive and wondered what happened to it.

This.. Looks incredible D:!

Is the database correct in saying Mamoru Nagano is pretty much working on this single-handed? It's always a good sign when the original creator is also the director ^^.

You know, I know people throw this around a lot, but the first thing I thought of when I saw this PV was early Miyazaki. It's his directorial debut, purely his own creation. Filled with such life and imagination. I think if this pulls through I'll title this guy "the next Miyazaki"

I get the feeling this is a movie(/OVA?) release.. Hopefully it's longer than Cencoroll's 30 minute run time

Holy moly, I never thought I'd see the day when this Anime got made. I saw the article that NewType ran years ago and salivated over it, but nothing ever came from it and everyone assumed the project was dead. But no, it appears that production was still proceeding, with one guy working quietly and diligently on it.

Awesome. Just effing awesome. I cannot wait to watch this.

Production values look great and I'm hoping this will be interesting but it would be nice if we had more information about the story itself.

The trailer is impressive, to be sure, but I'm not going to expect too much at this time. It's better to start off with low expectations and build them up than to do otherwise and have them sink, which is what unfortunately tends to happen more often than not.

The fact that this project has been in the works for years is still promising, if nothing else.

Looks like it might be interesting, maybe I'll pick it up to review for my blog.

Though, I have to admit, the Five Star Stories anime didn't impress me at all.

Nagano himself hated it. If there's such thing as creator intent, he'd be charged first-degree. Laughing

Nagano is a neurotic perfectionist, of course he didn't like it. I also heard that the director wasn't too familiar with the manga. Shame, because I would have liked to see more of the story animated.

Hopefully, this will drum up enough interest in Five Star Stories for the last few translated volumes to be issued (and, hopefully, the existing long out-of-print volumes to be reissued).
