SHOGO - Mobil Armor Division is one of coolest games you will ever play and it's totaly anime inspired. Check out the nice intro with very good soundtrack.

The fantastic "SHOGO" Intro : ftp://ftp.lith.com/pub/shogo/Intro(b).mov

Reminds me of "AKIRA" if you ever played Shogo for PC.

ADMIN 's . The intro is from the official website and so 100% legal for download.

ok, so why are people not talking about "Galerians:Ash" its a anime, and a great game. ok, now its time to copy that game in my compter, burn it, play it on my mod chip/ or super ps2. then bring the real game back to blockbuster.

Well, I could talk about how unimaginably awful the anime was. But I don't think that's what you're looking for.

By the way, actually announcing your step-by-step plans to pirate a rented video game...not smart. Not in the least.

If you have a DC, Dreamcast, there's The sword of berserk:gut's rage, its base on the anime berserk, a pretty neat hack'n'slash game

WOW Shocked , That was a triple post! Interesting...anyway, another cell shaded game is Robotech Battlery. This game is wonderful, the animation is great, the gameplay is superb. It will take time and patience to complete it. Its for the Gamecube and I believe for the PS2.

It's also for the X-box, but in my opinion this game sucked. I will admit that the cel-shaded graphics were nice, but the game was not fun(again IMO), and it was rather clunky and hard to play. But hey if you like it, all the more power to ya Wink .

The Megaman X game series often times has an anime feel to it. I personally think that an anime could be made about X and Zero, and that it could possibly be pretty successful. I know that there was a cartoon for the original Megaman, but that sucked so bad that it made me want to vomit. Mad

Another gaming series that I remembered was the Arc the Lad game series and anime. The anime was extremely average, but the game series was actually pretty darn fun IMO. That's all that I can think of at the moment.

Yes, go get Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. It is a excellent game. You can play forever because there isn't a limit to you leveling up. You can keep growing stronger, and the gameplay is awsome. The story and the battle system are unique also, and very great. You can create your own characters buy weapons gear. It's great!

How could i be so dense as to forget one of my favorite games. Viewtiful Joe incorporates most of what you want. It's cel-shaded,appeals to anime fans and now it can be found for a relatively low price. Moreover, it has a sequel coming out soon. Currently the game is only out for gamecube, but you can also find both it and it's sequel on PS2 in the coming months

I recalled another game (even if it's a little obscure) and that's the RPG/mecha RTS title for PS1 "Vanguard Bandits".

Screenshots found at rpgdreamer.com. A little "Escaflowne-ish", if you ask me.

*Really wish they would put out some more Lunar.* At least an anime verison put out. Confused Thousands Arms was a pretty good RPG back on the PS days. Atleast you didn't really have to learn any new to play it (as far as I remember.)

La Pucelle is actually made by the same people who made Disgaea(sp?) and from what I have played and seen it is just as good, if not better than Disgaea. I think it is a prequel, and kind of is in the same universe, it also boasts the same kind of addiciting gameplay that can keep you glued to your seat for months.

Viewtiful Joe has more of comic book influence than an anime influence if you ask me, but I agree that it is a pretty stellar game, and I really look forward to the sequel as well Wink.

Hmm. Craeyst, your images don't seem to be showing up (on my computer, anyway). So let me help you out a little. There are also some screencaps, here, at RPG Fan (.com)

Finally, I'm ready to post on this topic.

These are a few of the video games I either own, or I'm planning to get, or are just anime related. It should be noted that not all of the games I list are out yet.

GAMECUBE
-Skies of Arcadia
-Tales of Symphonia
-Zelda:The Wind Waker
-Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2
-Phantasy Star Online (note: you'll need a broadband adapter to play this, you're better off getting the X-Box version)
-Soul Calibur 2 (get it for gamecube, it has Link in it)

I'm sure there are more, but unfortuntly, I can't think of 'em.

PLAYSTATION 2
-Final Fantasy X, X-2, XI, and soon to be XII
-Xenosaga:Episode 1 and 2
-Skygunner (good luck finding it)
-Dark Cloud 1 and 2
-Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2
-Star Ocean:Til the End of Time
-Megaman X 7 and 8
-Ico (I'm not 100% percent sure if you would call it anime, but hell, I put Viewtiful Joe down. So why the hell not.)
-Shin Megami Tensei:Nocturne (God I can't wait to play this)
-Musashi:Samurai Legend (A sequel to Square's Brave Fencer Musashi)
-.hack series
-Disgaea:Hour of Darkness

PLAYSTATION
-Final Fantasy 7, 9, and Tactics
-Final Fantasy Chronicles (If you only ever play one game in your life, make sure it's chronicles. It includes an updated version of Chrono Trigger, the greatest RPG ever made. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I just hope you don't mind Super Nintendo graphics)
-The Legend of Dragoon (again, not all that anime-ish, but boy is it good times. Very Happy )
-Chrono Cross (a sequel to Chrono Trigger)

Again, I'm sure there are more for both the PS1 and 2, but I can't think of 'em.

I can't really help you out much when it comes to the X-Box and Gameboy, as I don't follow news for those systems.

BTW, if you are interested in learning more about viedo games that'll be coming out, or whether or not a game is worth your money, I recommend reading video game magazines and web sites like 1UP.com. Also try picking up Electronic Gaming Monthly. That's probably the best information I can give you, considering it'll help you out in long run. It's certainly better than having me list games.

And another thing. You really shouldn't buy only anime video games. Most of the best games made have little to do with anime (Aside from Chrono Trigger). I highly recommend you play games like Prince of Persia:Sands of Time, Splinter Cell:Pandora Tomorrow, Halo, Star Wars:Knights of the Old Republic, Metroid:Prime, and Super Smash Brothers:Melee. Just to name a few.

You can buy most of the games the others and I listed at VideoGameDepot.com.
