Isn't the actual Japanese title called "Full Moon Wo Sagashite?" or no?

Actually the Japanese title is "Full Moon ni Sasayaite." |

So did they acquire the license for both the manga and anime?

Actually, I believe this is an entirely different series:
Full Moon wo Sagashite = mahou shoujo ... with cancer! Full Moon ni Sasayaite = hott vampire boy's-love! (see also http://www.broccolibooks.com/blogs/ ) Hope that clears things up. ^^ |

Yeah, I've gotten a couple e-mail from people "correcting" this "mistake." Oh well, I'm actually thankful for the correction e-mails, because when ANN is in the wrong it helps us get a correction on the site sooner. |

I know... when I first looked at the title, I did a double take myself... got my hopes up (I like Tanemura stuff) and then realized it wasn't it.

Oh, I'm sure it will. The manga just finished up this year. KKJ is already licensed. Full Moon can't be far behind. |

Well, the KKJ manga is licensed anyway, but it gives me a glimmer of hope that the anime won't be too far behind.

Shoujo manga sells well. Shoujo anime not so much. Which is a shame, really, because I really like it. Well, there really isn't much shoujo anime that isn't mahou shoujo kids stuff anyway. Some, sure, but it's a small fraction.

Yeah, I was hopeing it would be the Full Moon Wo Sagashite manga too but it wasnt. I hope the anime gets licensed soon because I think its quite funny.

It's got spots of *funny*, but for the most part it's rather depressing...in an uplifting way....if that makes any sense. |

Hehe. Yeah. I definitely thought it was Full Moon wo Sagashite at first, but then I was like... man, they really messed up on the translation of the title... "sagashite" is not "until".... obviously it's "searching"
Lol. But everything cleared up when I realized it was by the same creator of FAKE, and even then, I was like, whee~! I've read the first volume, and it's pretty interesting. Yay for Broccoli ^^
