To be honest, I didn't have any interest in watching Fractale. But that trailer was awesome. Good job, FUNi.

Great trailer. Shame the series falls apart halfway through.

Oh! Palencia is voicing Clain? Awesome! I kinda wanted Aaron Dismuke to play him, but oh well! I love Palencia, and I can certainly see Caitlin and Luci playing Phryne and Nessa perfectly. I am SO buying the DVDs!

Even though I only liked half of this show, the packaging still makes it tempting to buy.

I fail to see why everyone always makes a big deal about Aaron Dismuke's voice acting. In everything I've ever heard him in, he's never been much better than average.

It's called being overrated.

I don't think Fractale qualifies as "overrated".

I remember totally wanting to swoop up the Japanese discs of this. They came with these cool Nendoroid Petits and it was a cheap four volume cour. The show just really didn't hold up Sad

I think AS was referring to Aaron Dismuke and not the show.

It'll be funny if FUNi is able to double that in their own sales.

Good job on that trailer, Funimation. But would I ever watch this series again? Heck no!

Personally I agree with you, but I just enjoy the way his voice sounds (post-puberty). *shrugs* Sometimes that's all that matters. And, y'know, sometimes it's nice to hear an actual younger male playing a young male once in a while. Rolling Eyes

I think, ever since Aaron got older sounding, his voice just became ordinary. Nothing to really jump out at you, so to speak.

I remember Corpse Princess, his voice was sounding just a bit too bland. Course, so was the anime, but still.

When I saw this headline, I had to remind myself that it wasn't April first and that ANN doesn't do April Fools pranks anymore regardless, because I didn't think that FUNImation would sink money into this. I know that series can fail in Japan, but sell acceptably here and I've certainly benefited from FUNImation taking risks on titles that sold poorly in Japan, namely Birdy the Mighty: Decode, but I thought that Fractale might be too notorious a flop for that.

I liked his performance as Al in Fullmetal Alchemist a lot, he has gotten harder to distinguish. I don't think he should be written off yet, I don't think the only thing he had going for him back then was the gimmick of his age.

A clone derived from the combined DNA of Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper who had been trained from birth in acting by an immortal, time-traveling Marlon Brando on acid would have struggled to make Ouri exciting.

I have never seen a show screw up an ending so much as fractale did. The show started out as one of my favorites and it was for the reasons in funi's amazing trailer, but that ending is so horrible I now rather dislike the series. also it doesn't help that there is SO MUCH DRAMA around EVERY aspect of the series. the manga, the anime, the simulcast, and probably a list of other things we will never know about.

Anyone else who has seen the ending want to cry false marketing on the tagline for this show.
