15K unique attendees?! Where were they hiding the other 8K?
The article says that this number was generated by a third party and then verified with AM2's numbers. Where are these numbers? I would like to see how they were calculated because, I was there all three days, and the convention had no where near 15K unique attendees. 4-7K would be a better guess.
When I checked in to the con on Friday, they had the names of all those who purchased passports printed on sheets of paper and were simply highlighting the names of those who checked in. Each page had about 25 names on it, and there must have been no more than 30 pages in each packet (simply because they were stapled using a regular staple and not a heavy duty one that would be employed for bulkier documents). So assuming that approximately 700 passports were sold, I'm guessing that means that the rest of the 14.3K attendees were free or daily/weekend pass attendees?
...Meh, I think that someone from the third party formally worked at Enron. Them numbers are cooked.
