Recently i noticed that amazon.com has a listing for Full Metal Panic: OVERLOAD! volume 1 and i wanted to know if someone could help share some info on this. I know that the story line of the first 7 volume(+?) series is a mixture of the first and second seasons of the anime, but how does this one fit in? Actually, i'm still wondering if it's even a real manga, novel, or a slip up from amazon.com (such as the "editorial review" which discribes NOODLE FIGHTER MIKI vol 2).
If this does happen to be a continuation of the FMP series, then i'll be quite happy. |

I'm pretty sure that there are two FMP! manga series. And I'm just arguing semantics here, but it might be more correct to say that the storyline of the first and second seasons of the anime are derived from the first several volumes of the manga, since the manga came first.

lol, i knew i should have better rephrased that since i knew someone would point that out. But yes, the anime storylines did come from the manga. Although i've heard some people say that the original japanese manga came in two series that were more like the anime storylines (a FMP and a Fumoffu if you will). I'm guessing that the "overload" series, however, is different than the storyline from the manga and anime. I say that because from what i've read of the FMP manga, it seems like it's covered pretty much all that's happend in both anime series. I have heard about the 3rd anime season that's coming out that's based on some FMP novels, so i'm kinda wondering if this has a connection to that. Well, here's to my blind guessing |

Yeah, but did you see their description of it? It might shock you.
COMEDY. Miki discovers that the ramen business isn't for the faint of heart, and she'll have to put her martial arts to good use to beat the competition! But while her scare tactics might work with local gang members and thugs, she'll have to kick it up a notch to win this war of the ramen shops in NOODLE FIGHTER MIKI Volume Two! |

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or if you missed that i was saying that the description is an example of an amazon.com slip up. That description is actually for another manga by ADV called Noodle Fighter Miki. |
