Following the Holiday season I was lucky to get the Hellsing Complete set (Great DUB!) my relatives option to giving money (Not a Terrible thing), so I am looking to recharge my Anime Collection. Anyways here a list of Anime I am very interested in, I know some of these series are not available in North America, But I buy from japan and I have a DVD player that will play basically anything I need it to. SO here is the list of Anime Titles I would GREATLY appreicate if you could leave some feedback on certain titles that you are familar with. Or sugguest (Spelling sorry) a title base off this list. Thank you

Z Gundam, MONSTER, Cowboy Bebop, Vandread, Zone of the Ender, Argentosoma, Macross, Witch Hunter Robin, Jin-Roh, Perfect Blue, Gasaraki, Spiral, Peace Maker, Noir, Blood: The Last Vampire, Char’s counter attack, Macross Plus, Vampire hunter D: Bloodlust, Read or Die OVA, X, Berserk

Thank you so much Best Holidays and New Year to all

first off what kind of dvd player do ya have?...not kidding Razz
....ok umm my friend has told me cowboy bebop is the best he has ever seen....and im sure other people will...why i dont know cause i haven't personally seen it.
I saw a preview of vandread....and although it was just a preview the drawings didn't really seem to fit what i like.....so much computer in the mecha it seemed...it looked like it was a cartoon at times. -just a preview.
I watched Jin-Roh....which was good...but if you want an exciting anime with lots of blood and action....or one with some light humor (by this i mean not a depressing and emotionally based movie)-then dont get this...not for kids.
I am halfway through the X series and if you want some good animation with good characters and action (not an overwhelming amount but i get the feeling there is more to come)-then i would recommend this.
Berserk again was good....but i was irritated by the dubbing...which was far from perfect....and i really didn't love the animation. Good story...confusing but good...there is a lot of blood and a few scenes of non explicit nudity.....until the last 2 episodes where it is somewhat explicit. Again....although there is lots of action...it is more a man vs man war....so there is no focus on the cool 1v1 battles with fantastic fight scenes....just mass slaughter (for the most part). I would say go for it....if thats what you want....hope this helps.

Personally, I bought a RJTech DVD player which also had a cruddy video card to play Pal DVDs as well as Divx. The DVD player was really noisy and died within a few weeks. Now I own a JVC XVNA70 which has a 12MB Video card to play Pal DVDs. Not only is it region free, but I can play classic UK DVDs like Spaced, Blake's 7, Black Books. Although it can't play everything there are some nice Pioneer players (I own a Pioneer 909, DVD/LD combo) which can be made region free and plays Laser Discs. Between these two models, you can play almost anything worth playing. I also keep my Sony around since some DVD-Rs and VCDs are flakey.
