I can't wait either but I hate when they waste films on retellings of TV arcs.
Current fans will obviously support it, but at the same time, it's hard for a newbie to just jump straight into the fray and be expected to know and love all the characters. Would have been nice to get an original plot of some sort rather than limiting their potential audience as they're doing here. Either way, hopefully this goes on to do well and who knows, we could get more Gintama movies as the series deserves it. |

What's with Kagura's brother and the scenes from Gin's past in one of the trailers? Is it just part of the promotion?
The Gin's past scenes looked like they were newly animated though... |
