Bravo! It was fun, witty, adventurous, some memorable characters, and good action! SPOILERS AHEAD!
Okay, so my question is... Did everyone die at the end? I can maybe understand the group in the truck maybe surviving, but definitely not Kanta, unless he pulled off one of his Kanta miracles. I can easily see Junko getting away because of the time she had to run. Well anyways, does anyone know if the ending with all of them was just to credit the voice actors in a fun manner, or was it because it's kind of a lighthearted show anyways, so they all lived? Thanks for any information! |

Didn't you see the final scene? They made it pretty obvious that it was an epilogue with Kosuna becoming the new Desert Punk. I really wish they would've explained how Kanta managed to survive in the end, though. |

Yeah I guess that's what it is... Didn't think it would be JUST for the voice actors... Come to think of it, I wonder if their names even showed up in the Japanese version. Well anyways, doesn't matter. Wouldn't a sequel series be super awesome? With grown up Kosuna or something? Meh. |

I wouldn't mind seeing a story arc showing how Kosuna develops. She was clearly making progress in learning the trade as the current set of videos ended, but she was still a beginner. However the real story would be to see if she followed her mentor's path or stuck to her own ideals.

^---That is one of the Japanese DVD covers. They were all spoofs of different movies. The Right Stuff, Rambo, the one you linked is Kill Bill, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Platoon, Saving Private Ryan, Blackhawk Down, Terminator "5", Top Gun, Mad Max, The Last Emperor, and one I didn't recognize.

Maybe put "SPOILERS" in the thread title?
There was a Desert Punk manga which we never saw over here, which presumably continued the story. My guess is that DP was only pretending to go bad, and would turn up as the hero again later. That's a season I'd like to see, actually. |

Hmm mangatoshokan isn't showing up Desert Punk at all in that link. I just finished the anime and was wondering how different the anime storyline was. The anime ending bothered me a little bit. |
