Does anyone know how long the series will be? I want to know how much money i am going to spend buying these things.

It's currently three volumes. It likely won't be too long, though.

So far it isn't finished in Japan either: there are four volumes out in the series over there, according to animeondvd.com. As to how long it will be when it is finished, I haven't the faintest clue.
