slowly and slowly the J Pop summit is getting way better, first the Crunchyroll premier of 5 cm per second that includes a copy of the DVD for $10 bucks and now Hatsune Miku's 1st US concert.
I mean how crazy is that for everything good to be happening so close to each other, Dir en Grey cocnerts, X Japan concerts, 5 cm DVD re release and Hatsune Miku concert all in a month. |

Alien: Yeah, the homophobic jabs didn't help much, either. I did give the teen a break, though, 'cus I assume the idea was she had emotional problems beyond that. I think she was the only fully explored character, too, which is, again one of the few positives I'll attribute to the film. I can deal with the coincidences, though, because that's the only way the story could flow the way it did. Grebo: I'm guessing Maruyama noticed holiday-themed content sells, and so he figured this would be an easy cash-in on home video. Well, at least it was one of Kon's better grossers in theaters here, anyway. Really surprised Kon wasn't called in to add anything to the Three Godfathers DVD, though, since his movie probably helped sell it to people who'd normally avoid it. garth: I'm residing in WeHo myself, and I've encountered a few Hanas in my day. Not that I swing that way, mind you, but it's inevitable around here. Still, they're not all like Hana, which is why I thought the portrayal of said character was a tad lazy. But I guess when your only likely reference material is The Birdcage, and not, say, Happy Together, you do what you can, I guess.
