This series is yet another Ecchi Harem. Although compared to other Ecchi Harem's, this one has a slightly unique feel to it. The characters are actually fun, instead of dull and or annoying.

My favorite girl is Ayame Ikaruga, because of enjoy her endless attempts at finding love, and compensating for her "Chest Problem".

Overall I gave the series a 6-Decent, although sometimes I feel I should give it a 7-Good because I enjoy it more than most harems.

I enjoyed it, and I honestly wished they made more. The story expands even further in the manga, more "villains" and stuff. I loved all the characters, and the comedy was good enough to make me laugh. Overall, it's a good series.

I completely disagree, it was as 'by the numbers' as you can get. Socially inept boy meets four-piece harem of four basic archetypes, cue all of the usual gags.

Again, I completely disagree. I can only remember each of them by their basic stereo-err- archetype. There was a very lazily fashioned tsundere, a lolli, glasses girl and perfect older sister with obnoxiously large boobs who the tsundere is jealous of Rolling Eyes . Then add in some ninja girls who attack people with their crotches while wearing bondage stuff. But what ultimately killed my interest in it was when they revealed that the lolli actually has large boobs even though she's suppose to be like, what, 11 or 12? I enjoy my share of dumb harem shows, but this one was just completely useless. My rating: 3/10

Harsh rater Ahoy Sad

I thought the Loli Character having boobs was funny, because it was almost like a plot against Ayame Ikaruga, who was in high school not growing anything under there.
Ecchi's have to have certain jokes that separate them from other ecchi's and Kagome's breast was one of them.

You also got to remember ecchi is a genre, there are certain things you have always got to expect, or else it really isn't ecchi.

I also liked the Anime Otaku Chihaya Ikaruga, and I wish she could of had more of the show dedicated to her. How she seemed the smartest out of all of them was just awesome!

Im actually gonna change my rating of 6 to 7. To me this series is better than the following Ecchi's:
Kamen no Maid Guy
Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu Purezza*
Kiss x Sis
To Love Ru**
Seto No Hanayome**
Tsuyokiss CoolxSweet*
Ah My Buddha!*
Ah My Buddha!! Victory!!*
Zero no Tsukaima Princess no Rondo
Maburaho
Kanokon
Akikan
Momoiro Sisters

(Stars mean excessively worse)
13 ecchi's I find worst than this.

Just because something is... 'unique' doesn't mean it is good. That joke was really lame and just added to how overdone the small boobs jokes were. The show lacked any and all wit which is what made it pretty forgettable.

With a few exceptions to that list you made, I feel you are completely wrong and find it unfathomable that they can be argued as being worse than this show, but that will probably result in bitter fighting that goes off topic, so whatever.

And I really question your inclusion of Seto No Hanayome as an ecchi as there really wasn't anything ecchi about that show. It's just straight romantic comedy to me.

No, I wouldn't really recommend this one. In an effort to find a little known gem I had the misfortune of watching both this (under it's English title "Samurai Harem") and Ah My Buddha! over a couple weeks.

I am weak to the harem genre though and gave it a charitable "decent," There were some good moments- played out or not the tsundere was pretty decent. It does feature a couple parts that I really really disliked though.

1.The sequence where the tsundere, who was supposed to a somewhat talented martial artist, was captured by some second-rate goons and rendered into a whimpering girl needing rescue from the boys-- and see her get the boy a towel to wipe his sweat off. Mad

2. The entire final storyline is a giant pile of fail and the archetype of what has become a popular, and horrible, way to end an anime. A girl, who should be no pushover, is captured- the good guys lose a battle, an episode is spent with the hero sulking and wallowing in self pity while considering letting the bad guy win- only to gather up the troops and rescue the helpless girl to battle once more. And oh, lest we forget- the villain, for most of the show he's a worthless idiot- suddenly he becomes all-powerful and evil- basically an abusive wanna-be rapist who wants his girl to be helpless and with the mind of a child - but again, at the end they switch him again to be a misunderstood poor little rich boy- and let the kidnapping- mind-raping POS go. Really, horrible- horrible ending...

I realize now that I rated it "decent" just because I wanted to differentiate from Ah My Buddha being even worse.

I remember liking this show even if I don't remember the specific gags or reasons why. Don't blame the show for that - I am actually going senile.

Not the place to ask if theres another season (read "teh rules").
But I will tell ya, no there is not a second season at the moment. A second season would be fairly nice though. That or a remake to stretch it to say 24 episodes or something.

Well people have their opinions, and I won't change them.

I thought it was cool how Ibuki Ikaruga's last happy place was when she was a toddler. Although Ryo Washizu putting up with it was kind of weird I admit. Ecchi's really aren't art, they are just meant to entertain. But I do admit the ending was the "epidemy" of mediocre. (Everyone joining forces showing off their fighting techniques to fight off millions of enemys to save Ibuki).

I still enjoy it.

I gave Ahh my Buddha a 5. I still laugh at how bad Ahh my Buddha was. "Pervert becomes enlightened at the climax of his perversion"

Ahh my Buddha or Asu no Yoichi?

I'd probably still buy Ahh my Buddha, because it's terrible but can still be pretty entertaining with friends in certain settings.

I'd really like to buy Asu No Yoichi though.
