The header for this was a little misleading. Was thinking Sony was making an American-themed PS3 the first moment I seen it.

That's EXACTLY what I thought, too.
Also, I'm super disappointed that we don't get blue here. I'd want a blue one waaaaay more than a white or black one (and I'm actually on the market for a PS3...) |

I assume you mean the super slim. The slim was the previous design (the last with the slot load optical drive). |

Was hoping for a big price cut. Six years into the PS3 era and it's still $300… as much as the PS2 was on its launch day.

Sony,
the Black Ops 2 game was released while it shutsdown the PS3 older systems. I know of two other friends who got the game on christmass an have had there play stations shut down. I herd the twisted metal demo released on PSN also did the same to older PS3 systems. I and they can play any other game released with out a issue for hours at a time. Black Ops 2 causes a hard shutdown minutes into game play. A quick check of the publishers web site under ps3 shows that all groups are aware of the issue. Yet no response from either Sony or the publisher has been made. Sony quality dose not exist. Sony used to be quality. |

I've got the first generation PS3 (bought it used for PS2 backward compatibility) but realized that nowadays I mostly use it just for BD playback so I was thinking of selling it and buying the new super slim. But after reading reviews, it seems that the chassis is cheap plastic, etc. so yeah... My interest has waned. =/ Wonder if the slim one will come down in price a bit.

I would have liked "red" one but of course it's only for Europe. That sucks. Well, I guess if I had to choose, "black" is the color.
