so that's like what... two companies that aren't selling anything merging to make one big company that won't sell anything?
sounds like a financial disaster in the making.

They both sell plenty, the problem is that neither company has a huge toyline to be supported by. Takara had Beyblade for a while and that was a huge seller for them and Transformers were doing really well as well, but while they're still making both lines neither are doing nearly as well as they once were. Tomy at one point could live off of Zoids alone, but has recently dried up on them and it's doubtfull their new line will be able to reclaime the former popularity. Both companies have dozens of lines running at once, but it takes a solid line to keep things moving smootly.

As a hardcore Beyblade fanatic, I feel the need to chime in. After the products BLOODY DEVIL MS, SHINING GOD MS, and RANDOM BOOSTER ACT5, Takara put the Beyblade product line on "suspension". So as of right now, they are not producing Beyblade.

At this point in time, it seems many anime/related companies can't stand too well on their own. I said something about companies merging every other month. Maybe I should change that...
