What the hell is the movie even about? (shall see if there is a summary some where in these interwebs)
I'm glad it's coming out so soon though! Hope it does well

The film is largely a spin-off story that is set within the middle of the TV series. The story as you know it has already been concluded in both the manga and last episodes of the anime. Hardly a farewell if you please - I envisage there to be several more such stories, as the Fullmetal Alchemist universe is massive and has a lot of room for spinoff stories and such.

I'm not sure how I feel about this movie. I'd love to see more FMA, but I'd like to know what the premise of the film is.

Spin-off? I'd rather call it filler..

Well considering Studio Bones only makes one film every few years..its a safe bet to say its going to be a very long time before we see anything Fullmetal Alchemist after this film..Studio Bones is most likely going to make another original project as their next film.

Well it maybe filler, but I guess it's better than nothing at all.

I loved the first film The Conquest of Shambala so I will be looking forward to this one in this one from the ending episode it looks like Edward and Windfey got married a had children a idea how that happen would make a interesting story line.

this to me is still one of the best animes I have seen both series were well done and the first movie shambala was awesome, the first series straying off from the anime did well and the movie finish was cool and the 2nd series (manga version) was on a whole other level so to me I hope this movie matches up to that.

Nothing wrong with a spin off in a great universe as long as the main story got a proper ending.
Now, if a contrite universe with a half-assed finale gets a spin-off instead of a proper continuation or ending, then that's something to complain about.

Rather than a spin off noone really needs, Id rather see either some sort of continuation (what happens with Ishbal), or prequel.
I think Brotherhood with its 64 eps was long enough, and does not need anything stuffed in the middle of it.
Dont get me wrong, I love the series, and I was excited about the film, but... but... I dont know, I think the film might be a bit too much of a good thing.
