Apparently they have big plans for Kodansha Comics and Vertical, so I suspect we'll be getting some awesome stuff. Good to see this kind of PR on japanese sites, as it indicates they're really serious about getting back into the market, and see us as a profitable venue.

that's good I just hope kodansha doesn't change vertical too much because they have a great business structure the way they are.

http://robot6.comicbookresources.com/2011/02/investors-not-bosses-ed-chavez-on-the-vertical-deal/ Vertical has clarified that Kodansha are investors, not owners, so while Vertical will be publishing Kodansha titles, they'll also be publishing works from other companies.

well that's good maybe they will have more leeway when trying to pick up tezuka licenses with a major publisher backing them especially since kodansha is currently in the process of reprinting all of tezuka's works.
