I immediately thought that as well, it couldn't have been coincidence, much as CB's opening is modeled on earlier Western TV shows from the 60s and 70s.

Seems rather intriguing as long as it doesnt have Koichi Mashimo on board (yeah I know,I just wanted to lash out at this guy),or is only 5 minute long I will be checking this thing out.

For some reason, when I first heard about the series I thought "oh, it's going to be Killer in anime form."
