I loved that seiyuu nod to the original Gatchaman (Definately will be buying the original when Sentai releases it), and it's always nice to see Aya Hirano in a new anime (*cough* Haruhi season 3 when? *cough*).
Have heard great things about the director of this. Could be a dark horse candidate for best anime of the summer.

It's always cool when a new entry in a legacy franchise can use an actor from the original. Looking forward to this.

I too had a feeling that they will cast atleast one actor from the original series for a part. I always love it when they do something like this or make a tribute to the older series in some way.
