Sweet! this series is definitely under my radar. I'll probably watch the Nico version first and then HQ later but glad this came to CR

Do I need to watch Fate/Zero to watch this? All I've seen is Fate/Stay Night so far.

Nope. This is an alternate universe story centered around Illya as a Magical Girl. It's completely stand alone, though some knowledge of the Fate universe would enhance certain aspects.
