The Edo hentai makes me think of those those b+w photos in Hustler.

Looks like they suffered from disproportionate fantasies back in the Edo as well then.

In all fairness, the Museum of Sex is really quite interesting. My girlfriend, a couple of friends, and I went there during an exhibit on Chinese erotica and it was very well-researched. It wasn't about porn, but more about how human behavior, emotion, and sexuality interact. It was scholarly, well-researched, and presented in a dignified manner.
We're planning to go, mostly because I'm really honestly curious about a lot of the elements of Japanese sexuality that we see as consumers of anime and manga. Hell, imageboards like 4chan and iichan raise some questions: why are futanari so big? What is the deal with massive breasts in dojinshi? Why is lolicon so huge and so much more accepted in Japan than the rest of the world?
I just wish we didn't live in such a conservative environment that the museum has an age limit. Sex and sexuality should be as openly and frankly discussed by parents and families with their adolescent children as it is in the Museum of Sex. There's no titillation or stigma to it. You actually LEARN stuff there.
