Are you mostly reading manga because you've watched the anime title first? Or are the majority of the manga you have read or are reading not animated?

Usually I pick up the manga after seeing the anime...and am dismayed by how much better the manga is!

I don't watch anime all that much. So, I read A LOT more manga than anime. Also, most of the manga I read are not animated. The anime that I do watch is usually the animated versions of my favorite manga or novels. I checked out a few episodes of Hikaru no Go, Kare Kano, Juuni Kokuki, and OVA of Please Save My Earth, Basara, Heroic Legend of Arslan, etc. Usually, I read manga or novels for the story and watch anime to see the characters move and talk, especially since most of the anime do not get to the end of the story.
The anime that I watched without reading the manga first (or don't have a manga equivalent) are: Rurouni Kenshin, Evangelion, Record of Lodoss War, Clamp School, and a few more.
I used to watch more anime when I was a kid. I watched the Masterpiece anime(The Little Princess, Pollyanna, etc.) religiously. I also watched Saint Seiya, Shurato, and Ranma 1/2 when I was in upper elemantary and middle school.

For me it has all depended on if I got my hands on a copy of the manga first or the anime frist. Chobits I read the manga frist (Still reading it!), and Ramma 1/2 I saw the anime frist, then read the manga.

Manga in Canada is easier to get hold of. Therefore manga.

I almost always end up picking up the manga second. I read a LOT of other stuff, so I usually want to make fairly sure, if I'm going to make time for a manga in my reading schedule, that I have a pretty good chance of enjoying it.

It doesn't matter to me if I see the anime or read the manga first. In either case I prefer the manga over the anime for any series.

I hate it when you read the manga after the anime cause all you can think of is that annoying voice that charactor makes while you reading. So that is why I like to read the manga first. It also lets you visualize and choose what kind of voice and personality (some what) that would fit your taste.

but if you do that, you'll find the anime annoying because the voice just won't seem RIGHT. I myself still prefer manga....

It depends on availibility. For example, I saw the GTO anime a few months before the manga was released.

I've typically watched the anime first before reading the manga because of availability. In fact, if I'm watching an anime and I like it, I will want to see/read the original works. You just know that something important got cut during the making of the movie or series. Because of this, 9.9 times out of ten the manga is MUCH better than the anime. (IMO)
But then, that is the way it usually is when it comes to movies based on books.

it depends on which i get first most of the time. i first saw the anime of kodocha, but now i read the manga. but manga is usually a lot better than the anime... i guess most of the time you cant beat the original.

It doesnt really matter to me which i see first. I love watchin anime so it is usually the first one i see, and Manga is not available in my area so i have to order it online, which makes it harder to get ahold of.

DOesn't really matter. In love hina's case cause I had watched the anime and thought it good and wanted to check out manga. In chobits just on chance, good though. I must say sometimes different ones are good sometimes anime is good but manga bad etc. so I say both.
