It doesnt say pre order on Barnes and noble .com. does that mean its already out? so if i order it off the site ill get it in a couple days? also can someone tell me if any twists happen? vol. 5 felt kinda like a bridge.

According to Right Stuf, Death Note #6 doesn't come out until July 4th.
Can't answer the rest of your questions though, sorry.

I got my copy of Volume 6 at a b&m Barnes and Noble the other day, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're sending them out already online.
As for twists, you'd have to see them for yourself since I'd rather not spoil them

All these threads about how great Death Note is made me give in and buy vol. one. (Bought Black Cat at the same time. Haven't read it just yet. I will as soon as I log off.) It is good. Now I'm going to have to go out and buy the other 5 currently available. I hate all of you!!! **sigh** Black Cat's good too. Damn... |

That´s the reason I got into it. I heard so much great stuff about it here on this forum, I decided to check it out one day. Lucky for me, my local comic book shop owner is hella cool with us and I´ve gotten 3 volumes from him for $5 a piece. I don´t think he´ll get volume 6 until the actual release date, although sometimes he does receive/sell items before release dates, so I think I´ll wait and pick it up for $3 under msrp, the Border´s ¨cut back¨ has not affected my manga purchaces... but I still buy Monster from there since the comic Book shop doesn´t carry that title. |

I had considered getting into Death Note because of all the attention it was getting, until all the negative opinions about the later half of the series, especially the ending, started coming in. That, and it's really not my thing in the first place.

I got into Death Note because of the forums as well, and luckily, it was a good decision.
I'm gonna have to go out to Border's tomorrow and get the sixth volume. I've been waiting for it for a while now. By the way, does anyone know how many volumes of Death Note there are gonna be in all? |

Okay, thanks. Twelve volumes in all. I'm gonna have to wait a long time for all of them to come out. But, it's a manga that's worth it, so I guess I'll have to wait.

In all seriousness, after volume 7, it isn't worth it. There are good moments to the "second arc", but the end makes it all worthless. |
