I've seen a couple people walking around at the mall with really weird-looking, tacky anime shirts recently. The shirts feature a single character’s giant head with unusual coloring. The character's hair and skin are usually bizarre colors like bright purple or sea green, and sometimes the image is kind grainy. Today, I saw a girl with a yellow-skinned, blue-haired girl on her shirt that was unmistakably Evangelion's Asuka. I've never seen anything like this sold in stores or online. Where are people getting these ugly shirts from?

Ebay and stuff. They're bootleg merchandise and are absolutely appauling. Im suprised people even bother with them.

I doubt it, since Hot Topic doesn't sell anything that isn't black, red, or has skulls on it.

Definitely bootleg stuff. I've seen a few them, and some of the worst are different pictures badly pieced together. I've asked myself, who would bother doing that? But then again, why are people buying them? You might be able to find them in Chinatown, since they seem to have bootleg merchandise,
