After reading through how you rate your my anime thread, I realized how much the drawing etc of anime mattered. Many times I paused to watch an anime, because I couldn't handle how old the animation was. For an example I hated Robotech, I couldn't get past the first 5 minutes. So I was wondering, if at all, how much the drawing of Anime mattered. However, mainly, what animes would you remaster?
1.) Hunter X Hunter. This anime was incredible in plot. I'm only at episode 25, however I like the blend of humor, great plot, good character personalities, and finally pretty well done fight scenes. Yet, before I got to episode 25, it took me a week to get past 3 episodes, since I found how old the anime was, was a bit too much for my taste. However, for this anime it completely redeems itself. I feel that if the drawing quality was brought up to around atleast Rurouni Kenshin, it'd be much easier to watch, and probably would've added a few more points to the virtual score I give it.
2.) Noir. For some reason, I felt it gave a little bit of a Grudge brushing style. I'm not sure, but even though the storyline is alright, and the action is fairly well done. I didn't really enjoy it. I'm not exactly sure if anything would change if this anime got remastered, because I think it's pretty recent still? If it is, then I just don't like how the animation runs.
3.) Trigun. This is the same thing as Hunter X Hunter. A great anime that for me atleast would get over the top with a reanimation. Characters, plot, humor, everything is completely well done, except for the animation scheme.
I might be using "remastering" as the wrong term, but basically the question would turn out to be. "If an anime's animation colors etc, were brought up to speed to today's animes, (Bleach, Naruto. They are just examples as I find their coloring and animation the best coloring. However, it doesn't exactly mean they are great animes, but Bleach is ) would it change what you thought of it, make the rating you gave better, or give you the extra incentive to watch it?"
I hope my first thread doesn't get locked

I think that "re-mastering" concerns sound. Could be wrong.
But, if you're referring to seeing an anime updated with modern animation techniques I would have to pick:
Sailor Moon - My first anime so just because!
Nausicaa - Because I'd really like to see what Miyazaki-sensei would be able to do with now.
Magic Knight Rayearth - I'd really like to see what be done to that one as well.
Sorry I didn't get into much detail, but I'd just like to see those shows redone with modern techniques that's all.

In my case, the art of an anime doesn't negativley effect my enjoyment of it. For instance, with really old anime, you sometimes get more old-school storytelling techniques, or more cliche's before they were cliche's, so in that case I think the art adds to the whole "old-school" feel. With new anime though, I do think at times, good animation can help how I feel about it. For example, it gives you one more thing to say about how amazing Haruhi is . Seriously now, I think good animation now can help set a better atmosphere, like the scenery in Texhnolyze.

Ah, I had kinda' the same problem with this too. I had just finished watching the end of the Soul Society arc in Bleach when I started this. I honestly didn't think it would be as good as it was at first glance. Don't worry about the animation, though. It gets progressively better and better as you go along in the series, and once you hit the OVAs, especially the second one, you'll see a drastic improvement in clarity, animation, and vibrance of color.

But.. Rurouni Kenshin is older than Hunter x Hunter (tv series)
I wouldn't like to update any anime, sure some could have used smoother animation when they were first done, but they are finished projects and should be enjoyed as they are.
Now, a revisiting like Saint Seiya: Hades Ova or Kimagure Orange Road Summer's Beginning movie, that I can think of many I would like to see
