Yes, the fact that Share has been compromised has been known for a very long while now. You would think even the late-goers, in Japan at least, would have had enough sense to switch to Perfect Dark by now (successor to Share, which itself was once successor to Winny)...
Perfect Dark should be relatively safe, the cases we have heard of so far have involved bad practices by the users themselves, rather than issues with the PD network itself.
