Sad to hear this. I guess Darkstalkers is just too niche a franchise.

It doesn't help that Capcom doesn't seem to take much pride in the series . I mean they have a very interesting universe in Darkstalkers and could do alot more with it both in games and other media and yet when they do something with it it comes off lazy or half baked.
A good example of that is Resurrection. It was really only on the radar of the series already niche fan base. It seemed Capcom did little or nothing to trying to promote it to a wider market and secure more sales. I mean it came out right after Fighting games got really popular again and yet they kinda just shoved it out and the fans bought it but no one else really knew it was there.(A friend of mine grew up playing the original games with me and when he saw me playing Resurrection he had no idea it even existed)
Capcom seems to have this issue when handling the beloved franchises they own. They won't make another Mega Man despite the fact that it was very cheap to make the last one and it did make money, They ignored Breath of Fire for years only to bring it back as a crappy phone game, They rebooted Devil May Cry despite the fact that 4 despite it's issues sold a ton, they have turned Resident Evil into a action game despite cries to bring it back to it's roots. Oh and lets not forget the whole on disc DLC thing.
I swear honestly I could go on but I digress. It just really seems that Capcom hate the fans they once cherished or something. /rantoff

Hate to say it, but Capcom fighting games are just.....so 90's.
(No, really, that's coming from a genuine Street Fighter II fan back in the day, who'd even defend the Van Damme movie to the last man.)
Lilith/Morrigan is still considered the "default" of cosplay, and Felicia cosplayers used to roam the arena halls like herds of buffalo, but do you see any today?
