Some might have noticed in the last few months that if you write a link like this in the forum:
You can also just write
And I just added the ability to specify a label, like wiki internal links. Write this:

Not sure it really saves any time on the entry, compared to copy/paste of the address bar. Checking the release corrections thread, I'm guessing this works for other item types too, not just anime, right?

Yes, it works for everything: anime#1, manga#1, person#1, company#1, release#1
Of course pasting the link is quicker, but I think typing
Anyway, it's there, you can use it if you want to. |

Dan, thanks, I agree with your point that the shorter format is much easier to edit posts.
Would it be possible to do something like:
so if you are just typing a simple conversational post, you can link to the encyclopedia without looking up the anime/manga number? In my head this feature searches for the string in the quotes in the main and alternate title fields, and if it can't find a non-case-sensitive match, it links to the search page for the string. For instance if you made a typo, and the title doesn't exist. |

BTW, anime#1 works but Anime#1 does not (keeps catching me out).
