And the hype begins

Nice that they shared a timeline too, since that gets confusing as hell if you're not looking for it

Definitely pumped! But I have to wonder how many episodes this season will be. There were three Owarimonogatari novels so I expect it to be a pretty long one, maybe 20+ episodes?

This run will be one-cour and adapt the first two Owarimonogatari books. The final one and Koyomimonogatari will be animated at a later point.

This is all in the interview linked in the article.

More of Ougi Oshino? Man, she looks so creepy sometimes, especially those eyes!

I'm hyped! But I have to finish Tsukimono and Hanamono first.

It would amazing if at the end of Owarimonogatari, they show a short teaser of Kisumonogatari and the date of release. Ah, a man can dream...

It makes me happy to know that they are adapting Koyomimonogatari as well. I figured since it was short stories it might not get adapted. So we get a cour of Owarimonogatari, and a second cour of Koyomimonogatari and Owarimonogatari too.

That just leaves Zokuowarimonogatari and Kizumonogatari, and I guess Tsugimonogatari as well.

So the overall franchise will probably be 100 episodes and a movie. I'm okay with this.

According to the interview, the Owari TV will be 1-cour containing from Part 1 and Shinobu Mail, while the rest will be done later (probably a split cour). There are plans for Koyomi anime, but Shinbo and the producer told us to enjoy Owari's first cour first.

Also, the teaser in Zoku Owari lied. There is a teaser that said "Orokamonogatari" (as in "Fool") will be released this fall.

I've yet to see Tsuki and Hana...gotta get around to that. Made harder for me, as it doesn't look like anyone in Australia has the license anymore. Seems like a rumor I heard awhile back may be true, and that Hanabee no longer holds it/failed to renegotiate for it.

Sad. Guess I will just have to buy it from Aniplex USA.

Still, happy to know more Monogatari is getting made! And, I pre-ordered Kizumonogatari from Vertical as soon as pre-orders for that book were up.

Gotta order Tsuki and Hana through Rightstuf...

Seeing Shaft's characters perform anatomically-challenging head-turns is always a thrill.
