Wow, that's a lot of physical copies compared to digital.

It was definitely trending on American itunes the day it came out.

Hiramatsu Tadashi (but Kubo Mitsurou drew the original manga storyboards, so I think she probably did the initial character designs).

In Japan, the first disc came out last week. 2-6 will be released at the end of each following month (Jan-May). I don't think a US release date has been announced yet.

The first week sales for this are equivalent to what we've seen for first week sales of stuff like Walkure or Aqours this year, which is really just... freakin' amazing for what is essentially a soundtrack album featuring some vocal songs a bunch of classical sounding pieces, none of which are performed by popular artists or idol groups. I'm honestly so impressed. YOI is something else.

It was even on the American itunes chart, albeit at around 35, but that's still pretty impressive for an... anime soundtrack.

I'll be awaiting that 'next level' announcement!

What's even more amazing is the Sk'utra album version is just a bundled version of the old songs that they posted on Itunes, never knew that it'll sold well. For just an OST collection it's kinda impressive that the Physical album slays the digital album sales, but I would rather if they will release the actual OST instead, I've been dying to hear that Airport scene piano it was such a lovely track.

The CD was sold out for a while at stores including Animate. Even Amazon had to restock!
