It's pretty cool of WRR101 to reach out to the anime community like that. Everyone who works there is super cool and wants to share the joys of classical music with everyone, including and especially the next generation. I wonder if any cosplayers will show up and give the old folks in the listenership something to talk about?
Funny thing, I never really connected the dots in my head between Ed Blaylock the classical radio personality and Ed Blaylock the voice actor. This is mostly due to the fact that I didn't really catch Ed's programs that often, as they would usually come on long after my commute was over, but I can still vividly hear his voice in my head from the times that I did. And it was touching to hear Nancy Brunson get emotional on the air when she was talking about the memorials they're putting on in tribute to him. A great many people who aren't anime fans are going to miss this man.
Rest in peace sir, thanks for all that you did.
