How would an improv anime even work? Do they make a script and then animate it?

That's how it's usually done - or rather they improv the dialogue then animate. |

I recall visiting the official site for some reason prior to this article. It had a strange charm to its graphics and animation...people in snot bubbles floating in the air. Character designs also remind me of a bizarre series with gastropods.
