Wonderful news. I've only read three out of the five nominees, but still feel that they chose the right work-- it's an important, impeccably crafted graphic novel. Very much looking forward to Volume 2 later this year.
Also, those awards for the Akira box set are not helping my decision on whether or not to buy it! |

A big congrats to him. I've read this manga and it really is incredible. And when you consider the intense work he's known for, winning an award like this is an even greater feat
