The bad thing — I can even imagine it, with how Kengan looks at the teaser, and how Doga Kobo can do the animation... but hey, at least there is the chance that we still see the Kengan characters in 2D show now!

Doga Kobo does make shows for very specific genres but it is a bit surprising that this summer there will be an anime about a guy with a muscle fetish and a woman that does body building. The story does sound interesting and it makes sense that a gym would be involved in the production of this anime.

Oh, so that's why they picked up UzaMaid. And why the ED was like that.

This thread's certainly cleaner than when I last checked it. On that note, I'm probably gonna check this show out too.

Fumihiko Shimo (New Game!) is in charge of the series scripts

I love Fumiko Shimo. This someone who knows how to make anime funny after seeing what he has done with New Game as well as the second season of Aria the Scarlet Ammo. And of course let's not forget he help supervised the writing for Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu. I can't wait to see this new anime with his involvement. It should be really fun to watch.

While certainly not the first weightlifting comedy manga out there, Shape Up Ran by Masaya Tokuhiro was doing a similar concept in Shonen Jump back in the early 80s, it is still a unique concept for anime. Not sure if I'll wind up checking this out, but I'll definitely be keeping a look out for the general reaction & impressions, because it does sound neat.
