I was hoping that Sarazanmai would be around 26 episodes long. Odd that they mentioned Dororo, I thought that episode count had already been confirmed.

As it is programmed in Noitamina and the anime Given is scheduled for summer, it was sure Sarazanmai would be one cour. Maybe it could get a season 2 in 2020, after Noitamina finished broadcasting Psycho-Pass 3 and The Promised Neverland season 2.

Ooh, I was hoping Sarazanmai would be longer than that...I find Ikuhara's works tend to be better when he has more episodes to flesh out his characters and themes. I guess we'll have to see where this goes.

Yuri Kuma Arashi was 12 episodes, so I'm not surprised Sarazanmai is one cour. I am surprised it's only 11 episodes instead of a full 12 so I hope it won't be too rushed.

Penquindrum was 24 episodes.

That's a shame. Yurikuma's main flaw was how rushed it was.

Penguindrum came out almost a decade ago and one cour anime is a pretty common practice for the industry nowadays.
