The manga is one of my favorite manga series so I was so excited about the anime. I think it worked pretty well in anime form; it's a little rushed at times but that makes sense. It's also fun seeing all the comical expressions come to life.
I feel like Roji is a bit more annoying in the anime because I have to hear him crying all the time (+ I don't like his voice much), but overall I enjoyed it. (I was very happy to see the scenes with sophie because she's one of my fave monsters in the series and it was effectively creepy).
Re Nana, luckily she gets a little bit more useful in the next season, and starts having more agency as she learns more about the magic world. In season one she was basically the audience stand-in to educate about magical law etc.
Can't wait for next season to see my girl Panza, and eventually (hopefully) Ivy...
