The Great Adventures of The Dirty Pair which was writen in 1979 by Haruka Takachiko will come with 250 pages with 20 illustrations by Yasuhiko Yoshikazo and is scheduled for release in July 2007 at retail price of $8.95.
Amazon has it available for preorder - Click Here It was this novel that inspired the creation of the TV series in 1985. Anyone else excited by this incredible news? |

Oooh, me! Me! Dirty Pair has always been a favorite of mine (the OAV "Affair on Nolandia" was one of my first "real" anime, and Adam Warren's Dirty Pair stuff introduced me to manga. And the Yasuhiko drawings? Just icing on the cake*. I've never read a manga/anime-related, translated novel before, but this is cool enough to make me start. * Big Venus Wars fan right here. |

Now this is a suprise. I liked Warren's take on the franchise but other than that I've never been a fan, so unless I see great reviews I probobly won't pick it up. Still, good news to hear a classic property is getting published in English.
