Really hoping for a sequel announcement. ID: Invaded was my surprise of the year, and would've made it as my best Anime of the Year if I hadn't fallen in love with Chihayafuru. My only complaint with the show seemed to be that the ending could've been wrapped up a little more tightly, but if a sequel season changes that then it would be everything I hoped for.

This is probably one of those cheap-to-make SD type of series.

Well the ID Invaded manga which is a sequel left some open questions for a potential sequel.

Just wondering if this sequel anime will cover the manga as well or not. If they did cover the manga then I say 3-4 episodes would be spent on it

The manga seemed specifically designed to be a story the TV budget could never handle (constant car chases.)

But some of the stuff the third volume brought in would definitely be hard to just deal with in a second season without explanation.

I'm pretty sure it was. Funimation was on the production committee as well so you can bet if it did well here they'd be pushing for another season. I'm honestly excited we just don't get enough good seinen anime nowadays.

While what qualifies as "good" is subjective, the same can be said about josei anime/manga.

I personally enjoyed this show and I felt like it was one of the underrated shows of last year but I'm surprised they're considering more of it. It felt like to me the show ended on a conclusive note that I didn't really need more of it.

I'm surprised this is receiving a sequel. The anime attempted to resolve a plot-line that felt like it needed more episodes. The ending and emotions the anime was trying to invoke felt very unearned for such an interesting idea (basically "Remember Me", but it's anime). This anime was "awful" to me in the worst way: not obviously bad, but disappointingly bad.

It's one of those anime that felt to me like it's trying really hard to be complex but stumbles over itself a lot. I hope this is fixed for the next season. The anime itself has some interesting parts enough for me to hazard interest in it again.

Chibi Sakaido? But they had an original screenplay to tell a story. Why make a chibi parody so quickly? Even Hamatora took their time for that.
