Demon Slayer Switch's numbers are higher compared to the second week of the PS4 version from last year (15,996). Now I really think CC2 should have released the Switch version alongside the others when the hype for the anime was higher (I mean, KnY is still very popular but the second season ended a while ago), I'm sure the game would've sold more units then.
Regarding hardware this is the second time so far this year in which Xbox outsold PlayStation, and this time it didn't take 12 years. Sony is facing a severe lack of stock of PS5 consoles for the region, but the games aren't selling a lot either, save for a couple of games the list is dominated by Switch games. I guess Sony is hoping for games like FFXVI and FFVII Rebirth to be killer-apps for the PS5 in Japan, but even then it seems like PS games don't have as much lasting appeal as Nintendo's games in the weekly rankings.
