Reminder to properly value your skills and ask for appropriate compensation--these licensing companies have a terrible reputation for actually paying their freelance translators their money's worth.

I was wondering, how much translators/enterprise-contracted freelancer translators usually gain, if being paid their money's worth, in the U.S.?

Probably pays peanuts. I suggest if you are fluent in another language and starting out, go to your local city or county's website and look for translating jobs there. May find one with good benefits and working for government looks good for resumes. Also may lead you to higher and better government positions.
