One of my favorite comfy reads as of late, and a great studio to do it. Honestly, its art style is very Western-like, so I imagined someone like Titmouse doing it. But Production +h is a terrific one that’ll hopefully do it right.

This is my favorite new manga of the past five years, and I'm really hopeful that +h will do a good job with it. The production doesn't have to be flashy, but it does need to convey the emotions and vibe the manga brings.
And of all of the characters, they gotta do Granny properly. |

So if an US company co produce an anime like VIZ & Hidive could this mean that it will get a dub ?

Is Viz Media now owned by the Japanese publishers Shueisha and Shogakukan, along with the production company ShoPro?

Has been for a long time, Shueisha bought 50% stake in 2002 but they were fully owned by Shogakukan before that. |

So is this situation sort of similar to when Manga Entertainment did some funds to some anime series back in the day?

This is nothing new for modern anime production. For example, Crunchyroll and Netflix co-produce many shows each season. Though this might be new for Viz; MAL only shows them as a producer for Rooster Fighter, which was also recently announced. |
