The cast sounds solid, but I kind of wish they got Monica Rial to play Monica. After casting Kyle Igneczi to play Kyle in New Saga, Crunchyroll could have had a fun bit going

As a Light Novel reader of this series, I'm really hoping more eyes check out this show. The adaptation so far is on point and it's one of those stories where the plot is much bigger and more interesting and twisty than it seems at first. This season should cover the first 2 books.

I am also a light novel reader and I agree the adaptation has been solid so far. I really hope people don’t sleep on this one with this season being so stacked but I can see this being a hidden gem this season.

A Union Dub for my Bocchi the Witch anime!? Kayli Mills as a fake Villainess!? Will wonders never cease!

Also congrats to Alejandra Reynoso on another anime role! I feel like Monica and Liko actually have a surprising amount in common.

Well for me at least, this is my dark horse of the season. This summer is so stacked that I'm literally watching over 20 shows -- I think it's the most I've ever watched in a single season of anime. I wasn't really fond of the 1st episode, but the 2nd episode really won me over, and to be honest it's because it started showing some surface-level similarities with another show I love (Ascendance of a Bookworm): an overpowered MC who loves books, has an overbearing mentor/guardian, a twin-tailed friend, and has a knack for getting into trouble with the nobility? Is that you Myne? Though of course she is the opposite of cripplingly shy.

I might be projecting a bit because this is the kind of art style and polish that I was hoping to see for the new season of AoB by Wit studio. However, the trailer released in AX had me feeling lukewarm about it. Still hoping for the best though.
