I’ve never heard of this service

Crunchyroll are bums for letting some rando service license the spin-off series

All they're known for (and barely at that) is airing Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works and My Hero Academia as part of an hour-long programming block on AXS TV. This is the first I'm hearing of them actually simulcasting something online. Do they even have a website?

They're threatening a same-day dub, too. The first episode was screened dubbed at Anime Expo.

This is such a weird thing to dub in general. School spinoffs are very much things meant just to milk the existing fanbase. What dub fanbase does Gintama have when most of the show wasn't dubbed and there are 3.5 separate casts, with only one of them not receiving immense dislike?

No thanks. Guessing it's region locked too?

e: doesn't appear to be but it's Web3 so it's a "I'll rather pirate" for me.

While this news sucks it should be noted it's also going to be streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu so you can just ignore the crypto site entirely https://www.fandompost.com/2025/09/25/gintama-novel-spinoff-class-3-zs-teacher-ginpachi-anime-reveals-anime-com-streaming/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=bluesky

WHAAAAAAAATTTT????????? I didn't KNOW THEY SCREENED THE DUB WHY didn't THEY SAY THAT AHEAD OF TIME!!!

But more importantly, WAS ANYBODY WHO WENT TO THAT PANEL ABLE TO CONFIRM IF THE CAST WAS THE OCEAN ONE????? Seriously at this point I don’t care about anything except whether or not this new anime is bringing the Ocean cast back. I’ve been wanting Gintama to get dubbed in English ever since Ocean’s dub came out and now I’m learning there’s another CHANCE??? fudge I hate that I have to wait till October 6 to know. I swear if this is a repeat of the Hulu dub…

No cast was announced. One of the attendees felt Gintoki sounded like Cripsin Freeman, but that isn't a confirmation.

In case anyone cares, the dub did stream simultaneously on Anime.com and is now available on Hulu.

It's mainly the same Miami cast from the 2019 dub of the first 49 episodes. Hulu also dropped a dub of episodes 50-150 with them today, too.
