So they're trying to copy the Japanese concept of having multiple premium exclusive releases? (ie Japan often has store exclusive bluray/manga/figurine premium editions)
Not sure how well that will go over here in the west, especially now in the twilight of physical releases. |

They have been doing it for a few years now. As physical media sales slowly dwindle they are squeezing the remaining fans who want the physical releases for more and more money to keep profits up. Unfortunately only a few of these premium editions feel worth the money though. I only buy them if I really love the anime. |
