Question for anyone who has read this: is it any good? I love Boichi’s artwork, and a Western sounds interesting.

"Interesting" is definitely the word for it. Obviously, the art is spectacular. Strong character silhouettes, dynamic action, dieselpunk aesthetic, gorgeous wasteland vistas. The opening storyline feels rushed, like it was a rough draft and Boichi was in a hurry to establish what was cool about this idea, before getting the thumbs up for serialization. Once the pace settles down, the core cast is given more freedom to express themselves and bounce off each other. Very similar vibes to Dr. Stone, so either he learned a lot from Inagaki or contributed more to the writing than I would have expected. Reading TMK, I went from thinking "Neat but how long is this going to last?' to "I hope this lasts long enough to actually tell its story."

I heard rumors that it's gone on hiatus but this news confirms it. Kinda worried about Boichi's health.

It doesn't really have much to the story plotwise, but it's been consistently a fun read with great action and genuinely amazing art.

No, I read it in their app for a couple eps and dropped it. Boichi is great with art but is has always been terrible with plot/dialogue, so in my opinion you just get a bad Trigun ripoff (the first chapter is 100% Trigun ripoff, down to individual scenes) with pretty decent art and some decent action. But that wasn't enough to keep it interesting. He really needs a writer, like on Dr. Stone.

My opinion: it's… fun. As long as you don't try to make much sense of the plot, story and characters. Boichi wanted to draw cowboys (and cowgirls), the Wild West IN THE FUTURE, so that's what's he's doing.
It's not a bestseller, though.
EDIT: Oh, Manga Plus also release it in Spanish, and, in fact, has been licensed here.
