i was curious as to where this would go because it arrived like, i think a day after it aired. i'm happy it got picked up at all, because it's on my list (genuinely should be better than mr osomatsu season 4), might watch it after work today.

Can anyone explain why some people in this site were hype about this since the announcement of the remake ?

I liked the original and am excited to see a modernised version of the show.

I wasn't hyped about the announcement but still rather pleasantly surprised. I grew up watching the original show on french TV in the late 80s and have some fond memories of it even though it wasn't the best 80s anime series objectively speaking (far from it). It was frenetic and juvenile, but some of the gags were simply hilarious. Still love the og OPs and EDs and some of Shunsuke Kikuchi's silly background music.
