The Tequila Gundam placement is very funny (as is Thailand and Hong Kong loving Neo Holland)

I am surprised Witch from Mercury gundams performed well. I enjoyed the series, but the gundams weren't particularly memorable in comparison to the rest of the series. Was thinking it was an English region thing, but Chinese regions also put Calibarn high.

Probably a mix of (relative) recency bias and WfM fans just being really really passionate. Seriously, I'm not sure if I've seen another AU fandom who loves their show as much as they do.

Had a total double take seeing Marchosias place that high in France. Did the Urdr Hunt movie seriously influence the vote that much over there?

Gundam Seed was everywhere, except for Spanish speaking regions, not one Gundam from Gundam Seed appeared there.

Personally my fave Gundams are Epyon and Deathscythe.

I love the fact that Tequila Gundam placed second with Spanish-speaking voters.

Happy to see that my favorite two Gundams are in the top three, though my order is different from the polls with my favorite being the Zeta Gundam and my second being the Nu Gundam. Nu Gundam does hold a special place in my heart for being the very first Gundam model that I ever built way back in 1989!

I don't really get that - I find all of the G-Witch gundams to be waaaay more distinct most in wing, seed, 00, age, etc. Aerial's body shape alone is very distinct.

I'm convinced that it being so high in English speaking regions had to be part of some plot by a very dedicated group of fans that thought it would be funny to see it place as high as possible.

Something about Wing Zero I always wondered was how people perceive it. I mean, it has two completely different design between tv series and Endless Waltz but it's still the same Gundam.

Okay, what's the deal with the Strike Rouge? I get voting for a Strike Gundam, but why the Rouge?

At least the Destiny made it on 2 lists.

Considering the lack of differentiation in the poll, people who really liked the Gundam probably still voted for it. Especially for it to reach as high as it did.

Distinct =/= memorable. Calibarn was in the series for like...two episodes and was a backup Gundam. None of the designs/moments associated with the Gundams had particularly lasting effects in comparison to many that came before them.

The Hi-Nu Gundam has definitely made the rounds in side media. I'm actually a little sad that only stuff from the anime made these lists and nothing from manga and novels. Though I suppose many of those works are largely niche and rarely made available outside of Japan.
